We collect personally identifiable information provided voluntarily by visitors to our Site. Except as noted in this Policy, personally identifiable information is not shared with third parties without your consent.

This information may be used to contact you regarding your participation in a conference (such as scheduling, logistics); as well as to provide you with information regarding other ConfometRx Research Foundation (CRF) conferences and other information we believe may be of interest to you (e.g., newsletters or announcements).

If you engage in an activity on the Site that requires payment, such as registering for a meeting or submitting an abstract for a meeting, we will also collect credit card information and the associated billing address. This information will only be used to process your payment.
We may also ask users of our Site to provide additional information, including gender, ethnicity, citizenship, degree, occupation, and information about scientific interests. Except as provided elsewhere in this Policy, this information in personally identifiable form will be used only internally, to help us in our efforts to foster a diverse scientific community. Aggregate data may be supplied to grant institutions to help us apply for grants that assist with our programs, such as scholarships and diversity initiatives. This information for speakers and organizers may be provided in grant applications in a personally identifiable form.
By participating in a ConfometRX Research Foundation (CRF) meeting, attendees acknowledge that their name and photograph may be published in material produced by CRF.
We do not sell, rent, or share any personally identifiable information with any third-party individual or organization, except as specified in this Policy. Full contact information of those who have registered for a CRF meeting may be published in the abstract book for the meeting; we do not make this attendee information available electronically to the general public, but attendee names and institutions may be listed on our Site in a secure section accessible only by attendees of the same meeting. We may share your contact information with organizers and speakers of a conference to assist them with the duties of planning and organizing the meeting.
We may disclose personally identifiable information if required to do so by law, such as in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, court order, or where necessary to investigate or prevent fraudulent or illegal activities.
Registration is not mandatory to access the public areas of our Site. Registration is, however, required for access to certain areas of our Site and the products and services offered through those areas of the Site. The areas of the Site requiring registration are noted on the Site.
Users registering to receive an account on the Site will select a username and password for purposes of accessing their account and the portions of that Site available to account holders. When accessing the portions of the Site available to account holders, users may be required to provide their username and password.
We are not responsible for any loss or misuse of your username and password; however, we do make all reasonable efforts to protect your information. Please remember that in order to protect your privacy, you should not share your username and password with others.

Our Site has links to other websites for such purposes as booking lodging, getting more information on the conference location and activities, as well as many other purposes. We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.
The data protection and other laws of your country may be stricter than the data protection laws in the United States. Any information you enter into our Site will be transferred to our database located in the United States. By using this Site, you consent to this transfer and use of your information as specified by this privacy statement. We make all reasonable efforts to ensure that your personally identifiable information is protected.

We reserve the right to continue to contact conference participants regarding payment matters or other conference logistics for their registered conferences, notwithstanding any request by conference participants to opt out of such communications.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Site to inform you of these changes. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Site periodically.
